Classes Offered

 

Please be sure to register and bring your waiver, medical form, and registration with you unless you have done so previously.

Plan to be at your class 15 min. early to be ready to start on time promptly.  (See Guidelines under Classes Offered)

If you reserve a class under punchpass calendar and are unable to attend, please notify us as soon as possible.  Punchpass calendar comes up under Class Schedule.  Click on punchpass calendar and go to the class you desire.  Click on the class and fill out info for your reservation.   

To get the full benefits of yoga, it is recommended that you practice 2 to 3 times per week.  Questions call 703-850-8386

Winter Session

Energy Medicine Yoga - Energy Medicine utilizes techniques from time-honored traditions such as acupuncture, yoga, kinesiology, and qi gong. Learn how flow, balance, and harmony can be non-invasively restored and maintained within an energy system.  1-3 p.m./ Pat Pao. Normally the first Saturday of each month unless there is a calendar change posted.  All levels welcome.

Gentle Yoga - is a slower paced practice that will incorporate breathing basics, gentle movement to improve joint health, gentle stretching to restore range of motion and increase vitality.  This practice is is ideal for any student with health concerns. Mon. 4:45 p.m./60 min. Pat Pao

Transforming Yoga - Mondays 6:30 p.m. -- Yoga 1-2 is a continuation class for Yoga 1.  The emphasis of this course is on refining and building endurance in Yoga 1 and Yoga 2 standing poses.  This class is suitable for students who have practiced other styles of yoga, but is not suitable for those who have never studied yoga before. Mon. 6:30 p.m./90 min. Joy

Release and Restore - This class will consist of movements warming up the body, yin, holding poses on the floor for 2 - 4 min. to help joints, relaxing into restorative yoga. Thurs. 5:00 pm /90 min/Joy - for those who have been practicing yoga.

Yoga for Balance & Ease - This class is a slower paced class to help lengthen muscles that have been stressed.  Come and experience movements on the floor or using a chair.  Students will experience breath work, balance and simple movements designed to increase their range of motion as well as restorative poses.  Couples and all levels welcome.  Wed. 6:00 p.m/90 min/Joy

Yoga for Healthy Aging**  - This class is great for those new to yoga who wanti to increase strength and improve flexibility, agility and balance. Those new to yoga are welcome and chairs and props are available.  Tues and Fri.9:30 a.m. beginning winter session and  New Class on Mondays 6:30 pm (winter session) 90 min. Joy

Yoga for Life - This class includes yoga for strength, stress relief, and restortaion.  We will practice a combination of yoga postures, beathing exercises and meditative practice.  The postures will include standing, yin and restorative poses to stretch connective tissue, increase stamina and improve flexibility.  The class is accessible for all who have some experience in any yogic style.  Thurs. 8:00 pm/90 min/Karen  Winter Session
